Task categories and priorities

Use priority levels and statuses to focus on what matters most.

Not every task is equally urgent. Priorities and statuses help your board focus — surfacing the high-priority work and showing at a glance what’s done, in motion, or waiting.

Priorities

Each task can be marked Low, Medium, or High priority. Use High for safety issues and hard deadlines, Medium for normal community work, and Low for nice-to-haves. Sorting by priority gives the board a clear “do this first” list.

Statuses

Tasks move through three statuses: To do, In progress, and Done. Keeping statuses current means the task board always reflects reality, so your meetings can focus on what’s stuck rather than what’s already handled.

Tip · If everything is High priority, nothing is. Reserve High for tasks that genuinely can’t wait.
