Setting up your first unit
Units are the homes in your association — the backbone that dues and members attach to.
A unit represents a single home, lot, or condo in your association. Members are assigned to units, and dues are calculated per unit, so getting your units in early makes everything else line up. A 40-home subdivision has 40 units; a condo building has one unit per residence.
Create a unit
- 1Open Units from the dashboard sidebar.
- 2Select “Add unit”.
- 3Enter the unit identifier — a street address, lot number, or condo number.
- 4Optionally set the dues amount for the unit (you can also do this later in Financials).
- 5Save. Repeat for each home, or import them all at once.
Tips for naming units
Use whatever your community already recognizes — “123 Maple Dr” or “Unit 4B”. Consistent naming makes units easy to find when you assign members or record a dues payment.
Tip · Most boards set up all their units first, then assign members. If you import members via CSV with unit numbers included, matching units are linked automatically.
